Frequently asked questions

Is LapViz Stopwatch free?

Yes. The app is free on Google Play and on the App Store, and so is the live sharing of the sessions.

Do I need transponders or timing loops?

No. You time the passages by hand from the side of the track.

Can several people time the same session?

Yes. Each timekeeper joins the shared session from their phone and the lap times are gathered in real time.

Where do the viewers follow the session?

On Open Live Timing, the live timing platform for all motorsport: the link of the session opens the leaderboard in any browser, with the positions, the last and best laps and the gaps.
