Is the LapViz app free?

Yes. The app is free, and so is the free LapViz account that keeps and analyses your sessions.

Is the phone GPS precise enough for lap timing?

For a first idea, yes. For times to the hundredth, use an external 10 Hz Bluetooth GPS receiver.

Do I need an account?

No. The app times your laps without an account. With a free LapViz account, your sessions are saved in the cloud and can be analysed on lapviz.com.

Which circuits are supported?

The karting and racing circuits of LapViz are detected automatically. A missing circuit can be submitted from the circuits page.

Can I note my setup in the app?

Yes. On the page of each session: tyres, pressures, gearing, chassis, vehicle, feeling and notes. They are synchronized with your LapViz account and compared on each circuit on lapviz.com.
